Tethered drone systems are made up of three distinct components

Tethered drone systems typically consist of three main components that work together to provide their unique capabilities. These components are:
1. The Drone (Aircraft)
Design and Structure: The drone is usually a small, multi-rotor aircraft specifically designed for tethered operations. It is lightweight yet robust, capable of withstanding continuous flight and various weather conditions.
Payload: Depending on the application, the drone can carry different types of payloads such as cameras (visible light, infrared, thermal), sensors, communication equipment, or even illumination devices.
Endurance and Stability: Unlike traditional drones, tethered drones are designed to remain airborne for extended periods (hours or even days), providing continuous coverage. They are also more stable due to the tether, which helps in maintaining a fixed position.
